The RED RIBBON is an international symbol of AIDS awareness that is worn by people all year round to demonstrate care and concern about HIV and AIDS and to remind others of the need for their support and commitment.
MSMNPA in it efforts to Keep the Promise has developed new strategic objectives targeting a wider community of men who have sex with men (MSM) in Trinidad & Tobago by conducting Support Groups for younger, older and persons living with HIV/AIDS. In addition, we have partnered with MSM events promoter - D’Sistahood to manage four MSM Community Events and have begun our Advocacy activities in the form of a Signatures Petition List.
These activities serve as efforts to reinforce MSM community mobilization, building self esteem and confidence and HIV/AIDS awareness in a social context as part of our organisation’s ongoing and sustainable combination of Prevention, Advocacy and IEC initiatives, for the period September 2005 - August 2006.
We would like to also take this opportunity to wish everyone the best of World AIDS Day activities, Christmas and New Year’s celebrations throughout the Caribbean.
